What To Expect Day To Day
As a Housekeeping & Laundry Attendant, you’ll support daily operations by cleaning guest rooms and public areas, changing linen, and ensuring bathrooms meet high standards. Tasks also include sorting, washing, and ironing laundry, as well as keeping records and maintaining machinery. Consistency in following procedures and the ability to work independently are highly valued in this role.
You’ll participate in maintaining a positive guest experience by making sure all spaces are spotless and ready for use. Responsibilities include removing refuse, cleaning surfaces, ensuring kitchens are sanitary, and completing room checks. The fixed-term contract also provides job stability for six months, with the potential for future opportunities based on performance. The set roster allows you to plan your weeks in advance and develop time management skills.
Potential Drawbacks
The physically active nature of the job may not suit everyone, especially as lifting up to 10kg is sometimes required. Shifts can include weekends and public holidays, which may be inconvenient if you have other commitments.
